Blessings Of Heart Burn
Series: Luke Topic: Heart-Burn, Resurrection Scripture: Luke 24:13-35, Hosea 4:6
This portion reminds us how often people are unaffected by the Word of God. The two disciples of Jesus were struggling with the reality of Jesus rising from the dead, since the breaking news was that Jesus was not in the tomb. The Savior was not recognizable in His resurrected state and the two had no idea that they were talking to Him, even though they followed Him. The Lord conversed with them expounding the Word of God declaring what the prophets said in the Old Testament since the two didn't understand. The Word was revealed to them and their eyes were opened to the truth and they believed in the resurrected Jesus. The Bible says that their very hearts burned within them when Jesus opened the Scriptures to them.
