What Biblical Strength Looks Like
Series: 2 timothy Topic: Biblical Strength Scripture: 2 Timothy 2:2-7,
Timothy was in need of strength which only the Lord could provide for him in the difficult ministry that he faced. Paul gave him four graphic examples of how those in various fields of endeavor have strength to do their work and how it relates to ministry. Paul told Timothy he must be a teacher and not only be a disciplined learner, but to pass it on to others qualified to teach. He also must be a soldier and be prepared for the hardships and struggles that it takes to go to war. He must be an athlete and strive for the high calling of Christ Jesus. He must always be willing to give great effort. Finally he must be a farmer and work hard that he might see the fruit of his labors.
