Being True And Faithful

Series: 2 timothy Topic: Being True and Faithful Scripture: 2 Timothy 4:9-22, 2 Timothy 1:4, Philippians 2:9, Colossians 4:14, Titus 1:4, Acts 19:24, Joshua 1:5

It is difficult to find faithful people in church and ministry as well as in all walks of life.  Paul comes to the end of his life and he is somewhat gripped by being alone when he dies.  He has Luke with him, but all of the others that have ministered with him have left him.  Demas had deserted him and the others had left for various ministry obligations.  Timothy was asked by Paul to come to him as quickly as possible and to bring John Mark as well as a winter cloak and his books.  He is reminded of a man that did great harm to the ministry and warns Timothy.  Paul also was reminded of the faithfulness and dependability of the Lord who stood with him at all times, who strengthened him whenever he was weak and who delivered him from all his challenges.  The Lord would also deliver him to glory.
