Critical Importance Of Faith

October 17, 2021 Series: Luke

Topic: Faith, Importance of Faith Passage: Luke 9:37-42, Hebrews 11:1-8, Matthew 4:4, John 20:29, John 5:24, Matthew 17:20

This passage appears to make Jesus seem demanding of his disciples.  They are unable to exorcise this stubborn and powerful demon from this boy who is being physically abused by it.  The passage though is actually more about faith and believing God and His Word.  He speaks and we have the Word of God and we are called by faith to believe it all.  We are to be people of the Word and to believe and act on it.  We need to know what faith in God entails.  We need to understand what caused the disciples to be reprimanded by the Lord for their unbelief.  We face challenges and the Word of God promises us to believe the Lord as we deal with these issues and be true people of the faith.

Primary Scripture: Luke 9:37-42; Hebrews 11:1-8
