How To Treat The Pastor (2)

It is easy for sinful people to want to accuse the pastor of misdoings.  Since it is a common practice, the church needs to be certain that there are two or three excellent witnesses and an investigation.  There are also challenges when a pastor is involved in misdeeds and the practice is carried out and the pastor being guilty is publicly rebuked with the hope of restoring him to the Lord.  There should be a sense of godly sorrow and godly fear in the process.  The pastor that is called to the ministry should be willing to be examined in both his ability to handle the Word and be open to scrutiny of his godliness.
