Saving Prayers For Political Leaders

We are often apt to complain about those who lead in government positions, particularly if they take stands in opposition to what we believe.  Our passage reminds us that we are to pray for salvation for all.  Also, there is a particular emphasis on praying for the salvation of those in leadership positions in government.  The churches are not to act out in rebellion nor are they to be disrupters in our culture in carrying out social discord.  We are to function in quietness and godliness and we hope to benefit in that same manner.
