Glorious, Suffering Christ

Series: Crucifixion Topic: Crucifixion Scripture: Isaiah 53:10-12, John 10:18

Many people struggle over how the Messiah could suffer and yet be exalted.  Jesus came to do a victorious work and it needed to be accomplished through taking our sin on the cross as our substitute.  It pleased the Father to bruise Him and put Him to grief for the purpose of being our sin substitute and that Jesus might pay the penalty for our sin.  The work of Christ is complete and successful and the Father is pleased and so is the Son as the day is coming when all the saved will gather to glorify and worship Him for eternity.
