Divisive Churches

April 13, 2022 Series: 1 Corinthians

Topic: Divisive Churches Passage: 1 Corinthians 1:10-17, Romans 16:17-18, Philippians 1:27

The Bible is adamant that churches need to function together in harmony and solidarity in the Gospel and in sound doctrine.  The church also must be reminded to behave itself.  Churches are filled with people that are sinners that have been saved and some that creep in that are unsaved and can create problems.  With this scenario in mind, it can be seen as in the Corinthian church that often contentions can arise and people can act selfishly and with pride create problems.  This is a reminder that churches are to avoid contentions.  They are called and commanded to be kind and gracious to each other and to strive for biblical harmony in the church.

Primary Scripture: 1 Corinthians 1:10-17
