Tower Of Babel

Under the ungodly leadership of Nimrod (Gen.10:8-10) the one nation went to build a ziggurat to connect with not the living God, but to find a substitute to worship.  The desire wasn't to climb to heaven, but in their wicked mind to get closer to their gods, which probably had to do with astrology.  This portion (ch.11) gives us the origin of languages which didn't take millions of years but was an immediate divine work of God.  This confounding of the one language brought many languages which in turn caused people to group into those who could understand each other.  This language difference in turn caused people to leave and establish many countries around the world.
