Godly Men Before The Flood

In Genesis 5 we are introduced to the godly line of Adam.  This is the line of Seth and we are surprised at their incredible longevity.  They live up into the 900's and have children even at 500 according to our passage.  We believe this is a literal account and we take their ages as accurate because of the specificness of their ages and names.  We believe God allowed them to live this long to fill the earth by having many children with their great strength and longevity.   Enoch was a godly man that walked with God and preached judgment, Jude 14-15.  Noah was a preacher of righteousness, 2Peter 2:5  reminds us that popularity doesn't mean you please God.
