FIVE THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT GENESIS CH. 9
God makes His first covenant with all of humankind by putting the rainbow in the sky to remind everyone that He will never destroy the Earth again by flood. God blessed Noah and his family by telling them to fill the Earth which continues to be the case as children are a blessing. God reminds us that humans are made in God's image and will rule over the animals of the world. God wanted to remind people not to eat blood or raw food that they need to cook it. Since life is in the blood, people that shed other people's blood are told that their lives should be taken. God's covenant or promise to not destroy the Earth by flood is unconditional and can't be broken.
