Why Walk In The Spirit? 

The teaching that the Galatians would become spiritual and please God if they did the Mosaic rituals was a wicked and false notion.  Paul told them that the key to pleasing God is walking in the Spirit, that is to walk or live your life like Christ.  When someone is saved, the Spirit indwells that person and they grow in Christ by heeding the Word and living by them.  This passage reminds us that when we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word, we will subdue the works of the flesh.   People that habitually live in the flesh are not Kingdom people.
