Spiritual Sowing And Reaping
Paul had been telling these Galatian believers that they were to walk in the Spirit and to help lift the burden of the erring brother. So, Paul gives them an agricultural analogy, they were to sow to the Spirit and not to the flesh. The result would be that they would harvest whatever they chose to sow. If they chose to give in to the flesh they would reap corruption as a result of sinning before God. If they sowed to the Spirit they would reap the blessing of those that inherit eternal life, including the fruit of the Spirit. The Galatians were urged to not be tired of doing good as so many seem to get that way.
