MOCKING THE COMING OF CHRIST

It is the way of false teachers to mock the truths of God's Word including the Lord Jesus Christ Himself.  Along the way the 2nd Coming of Christ is mocked both in the fact of His coming again and the teaching of living a life that puts emphasis on this life is all there is.  Peter reminds us that these scoffers have been around since Christ, but there will no doubt be an intensity of this teaching and attitude as we wind toward the time after the Rapture and during the Tribulation.  These mockers live to fill their lusts by leading people astray and away from Christ.
