Money And The Ministry

January 27, 2019 Pastor: Eric Cuenin Series: Acts of the Apostles

Topic: Money and The Ministry Passage: Acts 19:20-41

Paul was on his third missionary journey and was making plans to go into Macedonia to raise some money for the poor Christians in Jerusalem.  Meanwhile the Word of God is spreading in Ephesus where Paul has been and it has taken a dent out of the pagan economy of selling silver idols to the worshipers of Artemis.  A man named Demetrius stirred up the businessmen and eventually a large crowd that wanted to stop Paul and the Christians because business was hurting from people getting saved.  Apparently the love of money was the root of their evil plans in trying to stop the Gospel.
