Danger Or Safety?

The Day of the Lord is what Paul was instructing and comforting the church at Thessalonica.  The Day of the Lord is for the unsaved or the children of the night (they).  Paul said that "the brethren," that is the regenerate, are not in darkness and that the "day of the Lord will not overtake them as a "thief in the night."  This is a reminder to the Church, the Bride of Christ, that they will not be participating in the Tribulation but will be raptured out of it.  The Church (you) are not destined to wrath.
