Loving God's Word

We are commanded not to despise prophecies, that is we are not to have contempt for the public proclamation of the Word of God. both spoken and written.  We live in a time of confusion over prophecies where people think they are receiving new revelations.  Our passage calls to examine the truth of the Word and to test all things carefully and to show discernment.  Our love for the Word should help us from being tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine.
