When People Fail Jesus

The old chorus sings "Jesus never fails" but we certainly know that people fail.  In this passage the religious leaders and the Romans believe that they have succeeded against Jesus by arresting Him and now have Him in their clutches as they try Him.  But, we know that this is "God's hour" and though the hour is somber, the final victory will lead to the glory of Christ and the salvation of those that are His.  Peter the voice of the disciples miserably fails the Lord by denying Him three times.  But, though a failure on that day soon the resurrection of our Savior will mightily change Him.  May we have grace to see our need when we are weak and sinful
