The ministry of Paul was an amazing commitment to the Lord and to His work. In this passage in Colossians, Paul explains that he had a reason to suffer with joy for the Lord in that he gladly did this for the ministry of reaching others. Paul knew he was merely a servant of a great God and proclaimed his ministry as one of service to the Lord. Paul was also a steward that took the mystery of old to the lost by preaching the Word, declaring Christ as the Savior indwelt both Jew and Gentile for a future glory. Paul gladly labored to sweat and exhaustion even as the Lord worked mightily in him.
