Pray To Speak Forth
Paul sought the prayers of the church of Colosse as well as at Laodicea. He was specific in his request that while in prison, God might open doors of ministry for him to boldly speak forth the Word of God. He wanted them to persevere in prayer and to do it with a thanksgiving. Also, to pray that their lives would reflect what they would speak with wisdom. Paul also gives us some characteristics of how a Christian should speak to others; our words should be gracious or wholesome, our words should be seasoned with salt, that is effective and also our words should be able to answer others with the Gospel or with truth.
