Christ's Preeminence
The Word of God makes it clear that Jesus Christ is Divine, that He is God. He is not only God but He is superior to all. He is the exact image of God, that is He is God in human flesh. He is also the Creator, as He created the whole material universe. This includes both that which is visible and that which we know is invisible including the angelic world. Jesus Christ is also preeminent as the Head over His Church. It is His Church and He is the source and fountain of truth for it. He is preeminent in His reconciling all things. He brings change to those that He saves by their relationship to Him. He will also bring a change, even the lost, with their bowed knee and even to creation with it submitting to the Sovereign.
