December 23, 2018 Series: Christmas 2018
Topic: Christmas Passage: Matthew 1:18-25
There are many things that characterize the events around the birth of Christ and one of them is being an overcomer. We of course have the Lord Jesus Christ who left the glory of heaven to come in the humble form of a baby into a poor place. He came and went to the cross to overcome sin, death and the devil and rose again victorious. We have Mary and Joseph who had to overcome the cultural stigma of her pregnancy and then have to Egypt for the sake of the baby. We may also characterize those that know the Lord Jesus as overcomers, Romans 8:1,31-39. We find the joy and victory of being one of those Christ saved.
