Christmas And The Holy Spirit

We sometimes quickly pass up the important work and the power of the Holy Spirit in the account of Christ's birth.  The power of the Spirit is evident throughout the entire account of the birth of the Lord Jesus.  The mystery and the fulfilling of prophecy of the Holy Spirit coming on the virgin so that she might conceive the child Jesus and be born in that unique way is important to the work and deity of our Savior.  The power of the Spirit was evident in preparing hearts and even in the lives of Elizabeth and John the Baptist during that time and later with John.
