In calling the Philippians to live in a manner worthy of the Gospel , the Apostle Paul continues to provide examples, innustrations, to explain precisely what that looks like in their daily lives, namely that they would not be characterized by complaining, discontentment, or disputing and therby undermine their witness for the Gospel.
