Giving Thanks at Home

The Thanksgiving meal is such an important part of our celebration that people have sadly dubbed it Turkey Day.  There are many benefits for believers to be grateful even as we come to that main event of eating at the table.  It shouldn't be just an interlude between football games or a distraction for other entertainment that is planned.  We are reminded that God has provided even in a very difficult year for our needs, including food on our table to sustain us.  Paul said to give glory even when we eat, 1Cor.10:31 and to do it with thanksgiving, 1Tim.4.  We are reminded also that we don't live by bread alone, but we give thanks for the salvation of the Bread of Life.
