Goodness of God

God is good according to the Word.  We that believe the Lord and have seen the hand of His mercy embrace this wonderful truth.  God's goodness in the Bible has to do with His kindness and His mercy toward people, particularly to His own.  The sad report often in the Bible is that those that should have known better have ignored the goodness of God and selfishly pursued their own sinful desires.  Some folk think God is unkind and not good because their life has not turned out well or they are sick or a loved one died.  The Bible in particular has told us that God's goodness leads us to repentance to the blessing of salvation.
