Battle For Contentment

We find one of the battle cries of our modern day is "life isn't fair."  It seems many feel that they get the short end of the deal and are unhappy with their lot in life.  We are besieged by celebrities and advertisements that tell us how life really should be lived and what we are missing in life.  But, the Bible reminds us that contentment is not based on money, things, position in life.  People will say the secret to contentment is to have positive and happy thoughts.  The Bible says that contentment is based on living a godly life and trusting in our Father's wise bestowment.  He is the God who gives manna from heaven and heaps loads of blessings and we should find a heart of contentment in our gracious God and living for Him.

Primary Scripture: Philippians 4:11-13;1 Timothy 6::6-10
