Paul realizes that the message that he was preaching to the lost was often considered foolish by the listener. It is not any different in the day that we live. The message of Christ is an offense to most and the messenger that preaches it is often considered a person of low intellect. This sermon points out the message that is preached for those who get saved. Secondly it points out the message to the unsaved that is often rejected. Third, the messenger himself is often considered incapable and lacking wisdom. Finally the messenger has a great message that he bears responsibility to preach.
