Christ's parable of Lazarus and the rich man reminds us how important it is to dispense the Gospel of Jesus Christ now. This account with an Old Testament flow tells us how important the message of salvation is for people to hear. The rich man could do nothing to help his brothers after he died and was in hell. It reminds us that our status in life is meaningless without knowing Christ. This parable shows us the terror of hell and that it is a real place with torment and lasts for eternity. We are also reminded that heaven is a real place where those that know the Savior will spend an eternity of joy with their Lord.
