Defending The Faith
Series: 2 timothy Topic: Defending the Faith, Faith Scripture: 2 Timothy 3:10-17, John 10:27, Romans 10:17, James 1:22-23, Hebrews 12:14, Hebrews 4:12
The Bible reminds us that who we are is related to who we have listened and responded to. The Bible tells us "he who has ears let him hear." In a day of vast information and many who are whispering and at times shouting at us, we find many following the lusts of their hearts and not the truth of God's Word. This passage reminds us and Timothy that we are called to be faithful by defending the truth. Timothy was taught as a child by a godly mother and grandmother. Paul made it a point to disciple Timothy with the depth of the Word by challenging and maturing him in the faith. Dealing with the church at Ephesus with the many spiritual struggles in the church meant he had to defend the faith with the Word of God. We in a perilous day must similarly continue that defense in the same way.
