Series: Christmas Topic: Christmas, Two Comings of Christ Scripture: Matthew 2:1, Matthew 2:9-11, Titus 2:13, Revelation 8:12, Revelation 16:10, 2 Corinthians 2:7, Philippians 2:9-10, Revelation 19:1, 2 Corinthians 9:15, Luke 19:10, Isaiah 9:6-7, 2 Kings 22:20
The Bible gives us an interesting comparison of when we examine the first coming of Christ as an infant and the second coming of Christ and His coming in glory. The star brought the wise men to Jesus and the Lord Jesus will come in radiance the next time. Joseph and Mary had no place to lay their baby Jesus, but next time He comes as the almighty ruler of all. The first time He came in the weakness of a baby and the next time He will come in great power and might that none can withstand. The first time kingly gifts were brought to Him from the wise men, next time He comes He will be the rewarder of His people and the judge of the lost. First time He came to save His people, next time He comes He will take us home.
