Being Committed to Christ

Series: 2 timothy Topic: Being Committed to Christ Scripture: 2 Timothy 1:13-18, Psalm 19:7-10, Psalm 119:138-140, 1 Timothy 6:20, 1 Timothy 5:20

As in most Christian lives, we have our ups and downs.  In the case of Timothy, the difficulties and sufferings of the early Church were catching up with him.  He was struggling with fear and a need to get his spiritual gift rekindled.  He was showing elements of shame in his walk and ministry.  The cure was a reminder of God's truth, his salvation and a need to fire up and use the gift that God had given him to minister and preach.  Our bond in Christ Jesus with His people and with those that minister is a unique bond that is eternal.  Paul kept his relationship warm through being persuaded by the Holy Spirit reminding him of his salvation, truth and relationship with Christ.

Primary Scripture: 2 Timothy 1:13-18
