Marks of A Good Pastor
Series: 1 Timothy Topic: Marks of A Good Pastor Scripture: 1 Timothy 4:6-16
Contrary to popular church culture, the Bible tells us that the marks of a good pastor is a bit different than what most think. We usually hear that a good pastor is someone that will draw a crowd and have a big church, but that's not what Paul told Timothy in this passage. The marks of a good pastor is someone who will warn his church not to partake of poor, unbiblical doctrine that will lead them astray. Another mark is a good pastor will be nourished thoroughly in the Word of God, that he will indeed study to show himself approved. Another mark is that he doesn't get caught up in corrupt teaching and practices that may mislead him. Finally a good pastor will be godly.
