Lord of The Sabbath
Jesus and the disciples are walking through the fields on the Sabbath and being hungry pluck some grain to eat. They are confronted by the Pharisees for doing work on the Sabbath. The problem was that the Jewish leaders imposed restrictions on the people that were never found in the command of God from Exodus 20. The Lord is compassionate and wanted His people to be given the blessing of rest from their work. But, the religious leaders of the Jews added many legalities to the Sabbath and made it a day of not only tediousness, but made it so that it became their mode of works salvation. But, Jesus is a God of grace and the Lord of the Sabbath.
