Forgiveness of Sin

In a world of convenience, of short cuts and hunger for success the modern Church often waters down the message of salvation.  Many in the pulpit today say little of the need of repentance and forgiveness of sin.  Jesus in this passage again shows He is the Son of God by first displaying His power to forgive sins and His power to miraculously heal.  The Pharisees stand back and think Jesus must be a blasphemer to forgive sins.  They have their theology correct that only God can forgive sin, but their conclusion is wrong that He is not God nor a blasphemer.

Primary Scripture: Luke 5:17-26
