True Son In The Faith

Paul reaches out to his very dear associate Timothy, who is a model of the ministry of Paul.  The church at Ephesus was struggling with bad doctrine and people were creating disputes and divisions like Hymenaeus and Alexander.  Paul was sending Timothy to command the people to listen to sound doctrine because the Gospel of salvation and truth was at stake.  The influence in that church had a flow of Jewish fables, but today there is still much bad doctrine where egotistical, wicked people are tickling peoples ears, but not with the truth of God's Word.
