More Blessed To Give

During the Christmas season, it is often said that it is the season of giving.  This is usually said with the idea of a store wanting you to buy gifts or perhaps charities wanting you to make donations.  The saying isn't incorrect, but the intention is usually off base.  The biblical intention is that the Lord Jesus Christ came into the world in humility and gave Himself as a sacrifice for our sins on the cross of Calvary.  In our passage we are reminded that Jesus said it is "more blessed to give than to receive."  Paul was also an example of this blessing by his own pattern of ministry to the Lord and others.  We seek this kind of inspiration this season.
