Eve was approached by God and was told that she and all women would not only struggle with the blessing of having children because of sin having entered the world.  She would not only have pain in pregnancy and delivery, but also the relationship she would have with the children themselves.  Women would also struggle with their relationship with their husbands because they would have a hostile desire to control them or oppose them.  We are thankful that in Christ, the Holy Spirit works and moves in our hearts to relieve some of the affects of the Fall so that we might please the Lord in our family relations.
