Adam's Fall, We Sinned All

February 16, 2020 Series: GENESIS

Topic: Satan/sin and the fall of Man Passage: Genesis 3:1-7, John 8, Ezekiel 2, 1 John 2:15-16, 2 Timothy 3:13, Romans 5:12, 1 Corinthians 15:22, John 3

The old Puritan alphabet started in "Adam's Fall, we sinned all" was meant to teach the child from their early youth that they were sinners that inherited their sin nature from Adam.  I suppose they were more concerned for the child's eternal destiny than their delicate psyche.  Adam and Eve were in a perfect environment and had not an inkling of sin in their lives, but all that changed when they disobeyed God.  The serpent was cunning and deceived Eve by misrepresenting the Word and God's character.  Adam is the one that blatantly disobeyed God, he didn't even need to be deceived.

Primary Scripture: Genesis 3:1-7
