The Bible shows the supernatural work of Satan attempting to stop the work of Christ, particularly in His going to the cross. Satan was behind the plot of Herod's horrible killing of the babies in Bethlehem. Satan was behind the nefarious plot of Haman trying to eradicate the Jews in the book of Esther. The devil himself tried to tempt Jesus by offering the kingdoms of the world in an effort that Jesus might not go to the cross. In the future the devil will give it one last shot by possessing the Antichrist and going to war against Christ in the great battle at Armageddon. The result is our Lord Jesus is unstoppable and the devil will be defeated.
