The Shorter Westminster Catechism rightly says that "the chief end of man is to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever." The glory of God is the object and goal of our worship, we want to magnify the Lord. God doesn't want insincere worship but true worship from a heart of adoration from His people. We offer to glorify God in worship by our prayer life which is our desire to speak to God with the ambition His will be done in the name of Jesus. We endeavor to worship Him from our hearts with praise if it is the confession of our sin, the preaching of the Word or whatever we do including eating and drinking may it all go to God's glory.
