Deceivers And Fakers
Series: 2 PETER Topic: False Teachers Scripture: 2 Peter 2:1-3, 2 Corinthians 11:13-15, Romans 16:17, 2 Timothy 4:2-3
At the end of 2 Peter 1 we are reminded how God used His prophets to deliver His Word. In the next chapter we are reminded of how the devil has his own teachers and prophets that give out his lies. The Bible tells us in this passage that false teachers come into the Church and are secretive and stealthy. They are marked by their false words and notions. They may even try to use the same words that sound biblical but use them to mean something entirely different. They are destructive, not only are their heresies destructive to the hearers, but they will face a destructive judgment along with those that take heed to them. They are also exploitive in their behavior as wolves they do Satan's work and seek to devour the follower.
