Jesus Bore Our Griefs and Sorrows

Series: Crucifixion Topic: Crucifixion Scripture: Isaiah 53:4

It is hard to imagine a greater prophetic passage in the OT.  This passage has such incredible significance in the work of Christ on Calvary and the greatness of our salvation that it is incomparable in it's scope in the OT.  Reminded of the use of this passage in Acts 8 when Philip came to the Ethiopian eunuch while reading Isaiah 53 and using it to direct the Ethiopian to salvation in Jesus Christ.  Also, this verse reminds the reader that Jesus carried the penalty of our sin both inside and out as our substitute on the cross.
