TWO

Series: The Gospel Topic: The Gospel Scripture: Matthew 7:13-14, 24-27, Acts 16:22-25

People are often fascinated with numbers in the Bible.  They will spend lengthy time on the significance of seven or forty or even 666.  But, the Bible spends a great deal of time with the number two because the Word is interested in making contrasts for us.  There are two gates in the Bible the one is narrow which few enter and leads to heaven, than the other is wide and broad and many go there and leads to hell.  There is also the contrast of the wise man and the foolish man, the wise man builds his house on the truth of God's Word and salvation, the foolish man disobeys and builds on sand.  Finally a Christian may struggle with two attitudes, they might adapt to the world's attitude of contempt or the attitude of Paul of joy
