The Resurrection According To Mark

Three things stand out in Mark's resurrection account of the empty tomb of the Lord Jesus.  First of all we are reminded that there were faithful people that loved and served the Lord Jesus Christ and in this case these were steadfast women.  History reminds us that there are always some faithful to the Lord, even in the darkest times.  Second and most importantly there is the empty tomb and the grave could not hold our victorious Savior.  Finally, God had the angel dispatch the women to take the message of the resurrection to others, which we still do today. Mark 16:1-8
