Truth About Heaven Pt. 4

There is often confusion in Christianity in what happens to our bodies after death.  The answer lies in several passages that tell us that there is a separation from spirit and body at death, "absent from the body is present with the Lord,"  2Cor.5:8.  But, the believer's spirit goes directly to heaven with a perfected or glorified spirit into the presence of the Lord.  There will be a reuniting of body and spirit at the resurrection of the body and we will then receive a glorified body that will also be fit for heaven.  The significance of a glorified body and soul in heaven is one of the greatest blessings for a Christian Christ gives to His children.
