Finding Evidence In Those Saved
Paul found great joy in the church at Thessalonica because they evidenced that they were truly saved. In 1:1-3 they were known for their work of faith, their labor of love and their enduring hope in Christ which are great evidence of faith. Paul continued to give evidence of the salvation of these people. This reminds us that scripture is not quiet on being able to see if someone is saved or not by the evidence we see in the Word. It is not as much guess work as we think it is. There is also the evidence of the power of God in the elect of responding to the Word through the power of the Spirit. True Christians are also followers of Christ and those that are exhibiting Christ-like qualities. True Christians turn away from there former sin and happily tell others of Christ.
